Further Development of DPS
Here are my developments of my double page so far I have:
- Edited the image using Photoshop
- Rewritten the interview to make it more like a conversation
- Inserted a 'stand first'
- Constructed a clear organised layout
- Included many pieces of page furniture such as by-lines, folios & slugs
- Inserted a drop cap letter at the start of the interview
- Placed 2 controversial quotes: one in the corner of the page, one in the middle of the article
This is my layout plan that I have constructed using Fireworks. I have done this by using guides and I have positioned them using the position tool which makes sure they are evenly spaced. I have also ensured when I construct it the text won't get to close to the edge which is called guttering, so I have placed guides about 20 pixels away from the edge on each side. This is also a convention of any magazine which I have followed as I think it will make my product looks more realistic and professional.
These are further developments to my double page spread. I reorganised the layout and also added in a coloured background. By doing this I am following my colour scheme and house style throughout my media product to ensure it is consistent.

Double Page Spread Development: First Stages
Here are 2 visual images of the first stages of my double page spread. I have added in the main image and the body of text. I have developed a clear layout with the use of a grid and guides to help me evenly space my work. I have kept the same house style and font as my other two media products.
